Sri Lanka Cricket backs Bahrain with training camp and T20 matches

SLC provided Bahrain with coaching and training facilities during a two-week tour as part of its push to support cricket development among Associate nations.

Sri Lanka Cricket officials meet Bahrain Cricket representatives and exchange a commemorative plaque as part of an initiative to provide practice facilities in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Cricket facilitated the Bahrain Cricket Federation with logistical and coaching support to train its team in Sri Lanka, as part of its continued efforts to support the development of cricket among Associate Nations.

Accordingly, the Bahrain Cricket Team was in Sri Lanka from 15th September to 1st October 2026, during which the team took part in a series of training sessions and played three T20 practice matches against teams arranged by Sri Lanka Cricket.

Sri Lanka Cricket provided the Bahrain team with practice venues, indoor nets and bowling machines, along with several match day requirements.

Mr. Mohammed Mansoor, Chairman of the Bahrain Cricket Federation, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Eran Wickramaratne, Honorary Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket Transformation Committee, to express his appreciation for the support extended by Sri Lanka Cricket to the Bahrain team during its stay.

Mr. Dinal Phillips, President’s Counsel and Honorary Treasurer of Sri Lanka Cricket, and Mr. Ashley de Silva, Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lanka Cricket, were also present at the meeting.
