Sydney Sixers BBL captain Moises Henriques and Chris Green from crosstown rivals Sydney Thunder recently participated in a cross club collaborative effort to address the issue of Mental Health across NSW with Gotcha4Life.

Both players took part in the Gotcha4Life Face2Face chat with Founder and Chairman Gus Worland to promote the organisations goal of building the “Mental Fitness” of Australians and ensuring that everyone has their very own Gotcha4Life mate, someone who you can turn to in tough times and have those warts and all conversations.

The Face2Face Chat is the start of a joint approach from the on-field rivals the Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers in promoting the importance of mental fitness, which is building the social and emotional muscle and the resilience required to deal better with the challenges that life throws at us. Chris, Moises and Gus discussed what each have been up to during the current pandemic to ensure they are both remaining physically and mentally fit. The three men went onto discuss the importance of follow up questions to crack the surface issue and being vulnerable with your mates to open up.

Henriques spoke about his own struggles and said, “the only guarantee in life, is everything is temporary”.

Gotcha4Life is a not-for-profit Foundation that funds sustainable educational workshops, training programmes and products building this mental fitness in communities across Australia, to enable strong, open and binding relationships.

If you are struggling with your own mental health, it is important to seek professional support. Gotcha4Life itself does not provide crisis intervention or counselling so we’ve created thislist of services that can provide help. We also encourage you to contact your local doctor who can refer you to a mental health professional.
