Vaibhav Sooryavanshi‘s record-breaking IPL 2026 season is already creating opportunities far beyond the boundary rope, with the Rajasthan Royals opener now emerging as one of the most valuable young endorsement prospects in Indian cricket. After establishing himself as one of the tournament’s standout performers, the 15-year-old is attracting significant corporate interest as companies compete to secure his next bat sponsorship agreement. According to a report by CricBlogger, one interested sponsor has even offered a blank cheque in an attempt to win the race for his endorsement.
A season that changed everything
Sooryavanshi’s rise has been driven by a remarkable IPL 2026 campaign that established him as one of the tournament’s biggest stars. He finished the season as the competition’s leading run-scorer with 776 runs and smashed a record 72 sixes, surpassing the previous benchmark for the most maximums in a single IPL edition.
His dominance extended beyond traditional milestones. The left-hander became the fastest player to reach 1,000 IPL runs in terms of balls faced, achieving the feat in just 440 deliveries. He also became the first batter to score more than 600 runs in an IPL season while maintaining a strike rate above 240.
The teenager added another landmark by becoming the first player in T20 history to score 500 powerplay runs in a single edition, with 452 of those runs coming through boundaries.
Sponsorship market responds
The performances have transformed Sooryavanshi from an emerging talent into a major commercial property. As his current bat sponsorship agreement approaches its end, companies are competing for the opportunity to associate themselves with the left-hander.
The report states that Sooryavanshi currently earns around ₹50 lakh (approx. US$53K) annually from his existing bat deal. However, the numbers now being discussed are on a completely different scale, reflecting the surge in his profile over the past year.
Industry estimates place annual bat sponsorship earnings for elite Indian cricketers between ₹3 crore (approx. US$316K) and ₹8 crore (approx. US$842K). Discussions involving Sooryavanshi, however, have reportedly gone beyond those levels, with figures exceeding ₹12 crore (approx. US$1.3 million) being considered.
Tyre manufacturers drive the market
Much of the interest is understood to be coming from major tyre manufacturers, including brands such as MRF and CEAT, which have become increasingly influential players in cricket bat sponsorship. Traditional bat makers often struggle to match the financial firepower available in that segment of the market, particularly when pursuing players whose profile and visibility are rising rapidly.
Discussing the youngster’s value, a source told CricBlogger, “If Rishabh Pant who is only playing one format can demand an 8 annually, it is quite obvious that Sooryavanshi has hit the roof with his sensational batting,”
The scale of the figures being discussed underlines how dramatically perceptions of Sooryavanshi have changed in a short period of time.
From prospect to commercial powerhouse
Only a short time ago, Sooryavanshi was viewed primarily as a promising young cricketer with significant long-term potential. His IPL 2026 performances have accelerated that timeline, turning him into a player capable of attracting attention not only from selectors and fans but also from some of the country’s biggest brands.
Whether a final agreement reaches the highest valuations currently being discussed remains uncertain, but the competition surrounding his bat sponsorship reflects the growing belief that Sooryavanshi is becoming one of the defining young faces of Indian cricket.
