Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced a dynamic 15-member squad for upcoming ODI tours of Ireland and England, marking the team’s first international assignment of 2025 as it builds toward the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027.
The West Indies ODI squad will face Ireland in three ODIs from May 21–25, followed by three matches against England from May 29–June 3. The squad features a strong core of players who played pivotal roles in series wins over Bangladesh and England in late 2024.

Head Coach Daren Sammy emphasized the importance of these matches in the long-term development of the ODI team:
“These matches form a critical component towards the 2027 World Cup and there are signs of the team building consistency following the series sweep against Bangladesh and the win over England late last year.”
He added: “We expect the conditions to be challenging but we are creating a culture and mindset which emphasize playing the brand of cricket that is taking us closer to some of our overall objectives.”
Rampaul and Kevin O’Brien join revamped coaching staff
Changes have also been made to the West Indies coaching staff for the tour. Former West Indies pacer and 2012 T20 World Cup winner Ravi Rampaul joins as Bowling Coach, replacing James Franklin. During the Ireland leg, former Ireland allrounder Kevin O’Brien will also contribute to the coaching unit.
