Long-term partner Wilson Security has reaffirmed its commitment to Tasmanian cricket though a new deal with the male and female Hobart Hurricanes programs.

Wilson Security joined the Hurricanes during BBL|05 as headwear partner, and from this season will expand to include the WBBL team this summer.

Wilson Security Chief Executive Nick Frangoulis said that they appreciate the depth of the partnership, and are excited about its growth.

“The partnership is more than just a sponsorship to Wilson Security”, said Frangoulis. “Our five-year relationship is based on a joint vision to engage communities, staff, members and fans.”

“The Hurricanes are at the forefront of their game, being the only elite sports entertainment brand based in Tasmania, with a heavy focus on community cohesion and social inclusion. At Wilson Security we fully support these initiatives and look forward to strengthening our partnership and community alignment with the Hurricanes into 2021.”

Hobart Hurricanes General Manager Scott Barnes said that Wilson Security expanding their partnership is recognition of the women’s Big Bash program.

“We’ve enjoyed the support of Nick and his team for five years now, and we’re thrilled that the partnership is going to grow”, said Barnes. “For Wilson Security to expand their portfolio to include our WBBL side is testament to the work that Head Coach Salliann Briggs has done, and a clear nod to where she’ll be taking the team in the coming years.”

“Fans will see Wilson Security emblazoned on our helmets and playing caps as we run onto Hurstville Oval on 25 October.”

“Safety and security are paramount for our teams this season and – as in the case of any true partnership – we know Wilson Security will have our back this summer.”
