On the eve of KFC BBL|11, the Hobart Hurricanes are thrilled to welcome RedZed to their partnership family, with the self-employed mortgage lender signing on as the Principal Partner of the Hurricanes’ BBL team for a two-year term.

RedZed is a lender in the Australian mortgage market offering a range of residential and commercial mortgage products for self-employed customers that require a loan solution which, due to their employment circumstances, can be difficult to obtain through the traditional banking system.

The two-year deal will not only see RedZed become the Principal Partner for the Hurricanes’ BBL team, but also an Official Partner of the WBBL team.  The RedZed logo – which in the last few years has become synonymous on another purple jersey; that of the Melbourne Storm – will be emblazoned across the front and back of the Hurricanes’ playing kit, as well as on training and travel kit and in-stadium signage.

General Manager of the Hobart Hurricanes, Scott Barnes, said the club was delighted to welcome RedZed to the Hurricanes, and that it was a great way to celebrate the RedZed’s 15 years of operation.

“We are thrilled to announce RedZed as the Principal Partner of the Hobart Hurricanes’ BBL team,” Barnes said.

“Both RedZed and Hurricanes hold very similar values that link to our strong commitment to community, members and fans alike, in that we both back people who back themselves.

“In a challenging environment, there is genuine excitement in our organisation to partner with a business like RedZed, with numerous opportunities that we are looking forward to working on together.”

RedZed’s Managing Director, Evan Dwyer, said; “We are thrilled to celebrate our 15th anniversary by joining forces with the Hobart Hurricanes for the start of the KFC BBL|11 season and beyond.”

“We have always been passionate supporters of Tasmania’s self-employed community. Fifteen years ago, some of our very first business partners and borrowers were and are still based a stone’s throw from beautiful Blundstone Arena. This is an opportunity for us to support them and their team, Tasmania’s team, the mighty Hurricanes.”

The Hurricanes first game of KFC BBL|11 will be on December 8 against the Sydney Sixers at Launceston’s University of Tasmania Stadium.
