PCB: Training and media opportunities during Test players’ camp

Training camp for the available Test players ahead of Pakistan-Australia Test series in Karachi will commence on Thursday. 

The following players will participate in the camp: 

Azhar Ali (Central Punjab)

Fawad Alam (Sindh)

Imam-ul-Haq (Balochistan)

Nauman Ali (Northern)

Sajid Khan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa)

Saud Shakeel (Sindh)

Zahid Mahmood (Sindh)

Reserves:

Mohammad Abbas (Southern Punjab)

Yasir Shah (Balochistan)

In addition to the above, additional players have been called-up in the camp to help the players in their preparations.

These players are: Aaliyan Mehmood (Sindh), Ahmad Bashir (Central Punjab), Ali Usman (Southern Punjab), Arshadullah (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Haseebullah (Balochistan), Irfanullah Shah (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Mohammad Ali (Central Punjab), Raza-ul-Hasan (Balochistan) and Taj Wali (Balochistan).

Important information for media wishing to attend the camp:

  • Media will be allowed to film practice sessions from the National Stadium Media Gallery (10am onwards on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, timings for the rest of the days to be confirmed in due course).
  • Only one PCB accredited reporter and cameraperson per organisation will be allowed to cover these sessions, DSNGs will not be allowed stadium access.
  • Apart from the training session, the following is the schedule of brief stand-up interviews that that will take place at the HPC/NSK. These sessions will be carried out under strict Covid-19 protocols and will not exceed 10-12 minutes. Member of the media are requested to adhere to the guidelines in order to ensure smooth delivery of these sessions.
  • Thursday, 17 February, at 3pm: Pakistan head coach Saqlain Mushtaq
  • Sunday,  20 February, at 2pm: Fawad Alam
  • Wednesday, 23 February, at 11.30am: Sajid Khan
  • During the series, there will be no one on one interviews of the Pakistan men’s national cricket team.
