Ten NSW grassroots cricket clubs are in a better position to inspire the next generation to play and love cricket, courtesy of being awarded a Toyo Tires Sixers Community Grant.

The ten lucky clubs from across the Sixers’ territory each received a $1,000 grant to help promote the growth and development of grassroots cricket.

BlowFly Cricket, an all-abilities club on Sydney’s North Shore, invested its grant money in the development of its coaches.

“The Toyo Tires Sixers Community Grant has been a wonderful injection of funding for our ‘Uncoachables Coaching the Uncoachables’ program,” said BlowFly Cricket Treasurer, Mark Rushton.

“We’re thrilled to say we had a total of nine active coaches throughout the season, all of whom looked very professional in their new, sun-safe coaching shirts and hats.”

A Major Partner of the Sixers, Toyo Tires is committed to supporting grassroots cricket across NSW.

“We recognise the important role that sport plays in the lives of everyday Aussies, so it’s fantastic to be able to give back financially and support local cricket clubs with the meaningful projects they run,” said Toyo Tires Strategy and Marketing Manager, José Angeles.

“We hope that this helping hand from Toyo Tires and the Sydney Sixers will ensure that more people have the opportunity to play and love cricket.”
