The Momentum Multiply Titans will begin their quest in CSA 4 Day Series with a home clash against the Six Gun Grill Western Province from Thursday 10 November.

The Titans, who are the defending champions in the 4 Day Series will look to begin the campaign on a clean slate following success in the CSA T20 Challenge.

“To start the season on a positive note with a trophy is something special for us. Now that’s over and it’s time to start afresh and keep our minds positive moving forward.” Explained Titans assistant coach Geoffrey Toyana.

Potchefstroom was the base for the Sky Blues for the duration of the T20 challenge and Mandla Mashimbyi and his charges will be relishing being back home at SuperSport park for the start of the 4 Day Series.

“We’ve got some momentum from the T20 setup and it will be important for us to carry that through.” Toyana continued. “Our first two games in the 4 Day Series are at SuperSport Park and we’ve had good results at home so we looking forward to being back.

It’s a quick turnaround for the Sky Blues from T20 to 4 day cricket and preparations for Thursday’s encounter have been influenced somewhat by rainfall in Tshwane. However this will not deter the team from Centurion.

“Any format that we play we pride ourselves on the standard of cricket that we deliver.” Exclaimed captain Sibonelo Makhanya. “I think the biggest challenge would be getting over the highs of the T20 comp. We fully focused on this red ball trophy and we looking forward to getting our baggy blue caps back on.”

As was the case before the Covid19 pandemic, entry into 4 Day games at SuperSport Park is free. This will also be the first opportunity for supporters to see the Titans in action since the T20 Challenge triumph.
