All proceeds to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagement across the Thunder Nation

Sydney Thunder is auctioning limited edition playing shirts to help raise valuable funds to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programs across the Thunder Nation.

All proceeds raised will go directly to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander T20 Cup Program and Cricket NSW Foundation initiatives that support community based indigenous cricket programs.

Each member of Thunder’s BBL|12 squad has signed their Indigenous playing shirt to be auctioned. In addition, there is one jersey signed by the entire BBL|12 squad.

Designed by Rheanna Lotter, a Sydney-based Yuin woman, the playing shirt symbolises the connection of the Thunder Nation.

The large circle in the middle represents the Thunder teams (women and men) and the boomerangs symbolise their fierce energy.

The lighter circles at the top represent past, present and future players, while the stars represent Aboriginal ancestors.

The dots surrounding and connecting the circles represent the supporters, staff, sponsors, and wider community who make up the Thunder Nation.

The auction is live from 9:30am AEDT on Monday 6 February 2023 and ends at 7:30pm AEDT Sunday 19 February.
