Bio

Dominic Baker is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Cricket Tasmania, which is home to the Tasmanian Tigers and the Hobart Hurricanes, a team in the Big Bash League. He assumed his current role in late November 2019. Prior to joining Cricket Tasmania, Baker worked at Federal Group for thirteen years in various roles. His most recent position was as the General Manager of Casino Resorts and Entertainment. He also served as the General Manager of Wrest Point Hotel Casino and the Vantage Hotel Group during his tenure at Federal Group.

Baker was previously Chairman of the Board at AFL Tasmania, where he worked closely with stakeholders at AFL House, including the CEO and COO. His role at AFL Tasmania also required him to build and maintain strong working relationships with government officials and corporate partners.

Prior to his time at Federal Group, Baker spent over three years at Network Gaming and more than eight years at Cascade Brewery as the General Manager of Sales and Marketing. In this position, he was responsible for leading and developing the local sales and marketing teams.

Baker graduated from St. Virgil’s, a school in Tasmania.
