Cricket Scotland, in partnership with QTV, are delighted to announce enhanced live coverage of the showpiece fixtures in men’s and women’s Scottish domestic cricket this Sunday, August 20.
For the first time ever, the Men’s Scottish Cup Final and the Women’s T20 Scottish Cup Final will be broadcast simultaneously, free-to-air, with multiple cameras and two commentary teams, across multiple online platforms.
In the Men’s Scottish Cup Final, defending champions Forfarshire CC face Uddingston CC, with a 12.00pm start at Titwood in Glasgow. The match will be sponsored by HF Group, with the victors being crowned the 2023 HF Group Men’s Scottish Cup winners. The final will be streamed live and available to watch on the Cricket Scotland YouTube channel, as well as via the Cricket Scotland Facebook page.
The action begins slightly earlier for the Beyond Boundaries Women’s T20 Scottish Cup, as Finals Day in Perth begins at 11.00am with four teams in contention to lift the trophy. The semi-finals see Grange CC meet West of Scotland CC, while Watsonian CC take on last year’s finalists Stewart’s Melville CC, with the winners going head-to-head in the Beyond Boundaries Women’s T20 Scottish Cup Final from 2.30pm. The final will be streamed live and available to watch on the Cricket Scotland YouTube channel, as well as via the CS Live app.
Commentary at Titwood will be led by Broadcaster and Journalist George O’Neill, known for his work with BBC Scotland Sport, joined by analyst and Prestwick bowler Ronan Alexander. Meanwhile in Perth, broadcaster Jake Perry will describe the action, alongside current Scotland assistant coach Leigh Kasparek.
A third domestic final takes place on Sunday, with the delayed Men’s Challenge Cup Final between Morton and Edinburgh Academicals taking place at Freuchie, after last week’s fixture was postponed due to bad weather.
