The Melbourne Renegades will travel far and wide next week, with visits across regional Victoria as part of their 2023 Renegades Regional Roadshow.
Players will visit schools and community groups across Victoria’s west, south-west and north-west regions – all part of the Renegades’ regional heartland – from Monday to Wednesday.
More than 40 school and community visits have been planned across the three days, which also forms part of National Play Cricket Week.
Visits will take place across a range of locations, including stops in Ballarat, Geelong, Warrnambool and Mildura.
The Renegades will stop in at the hometowns of current players Aaron Finch (Colac), Tayla Vlaeminck (Bendigo) and Georgia Wareham (Mortlake).
“The Renegades Regional Roadshow is a program that’s really important to our club and we’re again looking forward to connecting with communities across our regional heartland,” Melbourne Renegades General Manager, James Rosengarten, said.
“For us, it’s about inspiring the next generation of cricketers and there’s no better way to do that than by having our BBL and WBBL players out in the community.
“We have more than 40 school and community visits planned across the three days, so we’re trying to have a big impact in a short period of time and connect with as many people as we can.”
