The Momentum Multiply Titans will be well represented in the Proteas squad which departed for the 2023 Cricket World Cup in India on Saturday 23 September.

The 15-man squad set to take on the world from 7 October is packed with a total of 7 players from the Titans, more than any other domestic team.

The DP World Lions come in second with 4 players while HollywoodBets Dolphins have 3 and the Warriors have 1.

These players include Aiden Markram, Lizaad Willaims, Quinton de Kock, Tabraiz Shamsi, Lungi Ngidi, Heinrich Klaasen and Gerald Coetzee.

Producing Proteas has always been one of major objectives of Titans Cricket and having a world cup squad filled with Titans players is a remarkable achievement for the Union.

With the work done off the field being as much of a goal as the work done on it, Titans Cricket is also proud that 5 members of the Proteas coaching staff were formerly with the Titans.

Head coach, Rob Walter who led the Sky Blues to 4 domestic trophies including back-to-back One Day Cup titles during his time as Titans coach from 2013-2016 will be crucial in the Proteas quest for world cup glory.

“This is up there with one of our bigger achievements as the Titans.” Said Titans CEO Dr Jacques Faul. “We’ve always wanted to dominate and for us to be represented so well within the national team is an honour and an achievement we are very proud of.”
