The Fidelity Titans are geared for the newly established Professional Women’s League that will kick off with their first 50 over match against the SWD Garden Route Badgers at the Recreation Ground in Oudtshoorn on Saturday, 7 October 2023.

The Daisy Ladies’ preparation for this season has been intense and the players are ready to compete in both formats this weekend with the CSA Top 6 One Day Cup on Saturday and T20 challenge on Sunday against SWD.

While the Fidelity Titans will begin their season without the likes of Laura Wolvaardt, Masabata Klaas and Anneke Bosch who are on national duty, they can still rely on stellar superstars like Robyn Searle, Tebogo Macheke, Elize-Mari Marx and Simone Lourens.

In the lead up to the season, the ladies left no stone unturned and prepared with intent. They embarked on their first ever preseason camp that fostered teamwork but also instilled a sense of sisterhood among the players.

Head coach, Byron Fraser displays confidence and believes that the team’s hard work and dedication will pay off in the upcoming match against SWD. “We’ve put in the effort, and we are eager to demonstrate our growth as a team”.

Fraser explains further, “The preseason was difficult, and working with Titans mens assistant coach Richard Das Neves to improve the players’ batting abilities was a great move. The expertise and methods of the coach have given the players new opportunities to explore and take advantage of on the field”.

Fidelity Titans captain, Robyn Searle had this to say ahead of their first match “These are exciting for us, and I hope that now we are professionals it will show on the field, and I know that training as professionals will relate on the field. I believe as a team we’ve got so much to offer, and we are committed to giving our best for the team’s success”.
