The race for the Weber WBBL|09 title is heating up, with the final week of the regular season set to determine the top four and all-important hosting rights, culminating with the historic WBBL Stadium Series.

Going into the week, each team will have at least one more game in their home city before the competition heads to Adelaide Oval, the MCG and the SCG for an action-packed weekend of cricket and entertainment. Running from November 24-26, the ground-breaking Stadium Series will see five games played across these three iconic venues.

The WBBL Stadium Series promises entertainment on and off the pitch with a line-up of top music acts performing across the weekend. Music sensations Becca Hatch (Adelaide Oval), Sneaky Sound System (MCG) and Young Franco (SCG) will all take to the stage across the weekend, offering fans the chance to experience the best in both cricket and music.

Australia’s favourite blue heeler, Bluey, will also be part of the special weekend, taking to the stage for a Live Interactive Experience at the MCG and SCG. Joined by her sister Bingo, the Bluey Live Interactive Experience is designed to get kids and their parents up and dancing.

The final week of the Weber WBBL|09 season coincides with Women and Girls Week. The week-long celebration acknowledges the vast contributions of cricket’s amazing female volunteers, coaches, officials, players and administrators. Activity throughout the week will showcase the people and initiatives that ensure the women’s game goes from strength to strength.

Alistair Dobson, General Manager, Big Bash Leagues said:

“The Weber WBBL|09 season has been exceptional and this last week ahead of finals is shaping up to be one of the biggest in the competition’s history.

“We’re proud to be joining all of Australian Cricket in celebrating Women and Girls Week this week, recognising the people who make the game a leading sport for women and girls.

“The WBBL Stadium Series marks a significant moment for the women’s game. It is a testament to the league’s standing as a global leader in the women’s game and the Big Bash’s commitment to pushing boundaries and providing fans with an unparalleled cricketing experience.

“This event is a celebration of the exceptional talent within the WBBL and we are excited to witness what is shaping up to be a nail-biting end to the regular season.”
