Cricket NSW: Central Coast clinch McDonald’s Under 16 Female Country Championships

Central Coast have been crowned McDonald’s U16 Female Country Champions for the first time, after completing an undefeated campaign in Queanbeyan.

The only team to come away with victories in each of their four preliminary round fixtures meant the Coast side finished atop the ladder.

Central Northern captain, Sophie Parsons, was named Player of the Carnival after amassing 134 runs at an average of 67.0.

  1. Sophie Parsons – Central Northern | 134 runs at 67.0 average
  2. Georgie Leonard – Central Northern | 69 runs at 23.0 average
  3. Ava Drury – Central Coast | 67 runs at 16.75 average

  1. Khyla Gardiner – Riverina | 8 wickets at 3.38 average
  2. Georgie Leonard – Central Northern | 8 wickets at 8.38 average
  3. Edyn McDonald – North Coast | 7 wickets at 4.71 average
