Cricket Australia (CA) has announced the revised schedule for the 2026-27 women’s international cricket season.

Under the revised schedule, Australia will play an NRMA Insurance ODI series against Bangladesh and a T20 series against New Zealand in October 2026, and an ODI series against New Zealand in March 2027.

The changes were made necessary by the ICC’s decision to bring forward the 2027 ICC Women’s Champions Trophy from June to February.

Among the highlights of the new schedule will be the D/N ODI at the Junction Oval against New Zealand on the Monday, March 8 Labor Day public holiday in Melbourne which also falls on International Women’s Day.

This will be first international match played under lights at the Junction and comes as the cricket world gathers in Melbourne for a celebration of cricket in the lead-up to the 150th Anniversary Men’s Test from March 11-15

The changes came after consultation with New Zealand Cricket and the Bangladesh Cricked Board to ensure the schedule aligned with ICC obligations and the best interests of the touring nations.

Tickets for the women’s international cricket season are on sale July 23, with the CricketPlus pre-sale beginning on July 20.

All matches will be shown live on Seven, 7Plus, Kayo Sports and Foxtel.

Peter Roach, CA Head of Scheduling and Cricket Operations said:

“After the recent notification by the ICC about the change to the Champions Trophy dates, we’ve produced a revised schedule that provides the best possible outcomes for the teams and fans.

“We’re particularly excited that women’s cricket will feature prominently in the lead up to the 150th Anniversary Test with the historic first international match under lights at Junction Oval.

“We are thankful to Bangladesh and NZ for their cooperation and understanding – particularly NZ for agreeing to travel to Australia twice.”
