Cricket Australia (CA) has secured a major commercial boost, announcing Westpac as its new Principal Partner under a landmark four-year agreement that spans every level of the game — from grassroots to the national teams.

The deal, one of the most significant sponsorships in Australian sport, officially commenced on 1 July 2025 and marks the beginning of a strategic alliance aimed at growing cricket’s impact both on and off the field.

Westpac to feature on national team kits

As part of the agreement, Westpac’s logo will be prominently featured on the kits of Australia’s men’s and women’s national teams for all home matches across Test, ODI, and T20 formats, as well as for Australia A and Under-19 sides. The bank also becomes an Official Partner of the men’s and women’s Big Bash Leagues.

Driving equity, access, and inclusion in cricket

Westpac’s involvement will go beyond branding, with a strong focus on community and inclusion. The bank will back multiple initiatives aimed at expanding access to cricket, including:

Women and girls’ programs — creating pathways for female players, coaches, managers, and executives

Support for grassroots clubs and volunteers — presenting partner of CA’s National Community Awards

Disability and inclusion cricket — presenting partner of the National Cricket Inclusion Championships and all international disability matches in Australia

First Nations cricket — presenting partner of the National Indigenous Cricket Championships and Indigenous international games

Leaders react to partnership

CA CEO Todd Greenberg expressed excitement over the partnership’s potential:

“This partnership represents a shared commitment to making a positive impact on the field and in the community. We aim to elevate the experience of fans and participants and together grow the game.”

Westpac CEO Anthony Miller echoed the sentiment, emphasizing long-term investment:

“Like Westpac, cricket in Australia has a long and proud history stretching back 200 years. As Australia’s oldest bank, we can’t wait to join forces with one of Australia’s oldest sports and help shape the future of this great game.”

First activation begins this summer

The partnership will debut in next month’s home series against South Africa, followed by tours from India’s men’s and women’s teams and a blockbuster 2025–26 Ashes series.

Westpac becomes the first brand to appear simultaneously on the uniforms of both the Australian men’s and women’s teams for home internationals — a move symbolic of the deal’s focus on equity and visibility.
