Darwin, Australia — The opening match of the BKT Tyres Men’s T20I Series between Australia and South Africa at Marrara Stadium has officially sold out, drawing a capacity crowd of 10,000 this Sunday night. The fixture marks the return of international cricket to the Northern Territory for the first time in 17 years.
With tickets for the second T20I on Tuesday, August 12, selling fast, the overwhelming response highlights the growing appetite for elite cricket in Australia’s north and sets the stage for an electric contest under lights.

Series schedule and ticket availability
While Sunday’s opener is now at capacity, tickets remain for the second T20I in Darwin on Tuesday night. The series will then move to Cairns for the third and final T20I on Saturday, August 16, before a three-match ODI series across Cairns and Mackay.
