His appointment comes at an important time for Malaysian cricket, as we sharpen our focus on high performance, strengthen our national teams and aim to move Malaysia higher in the ICC world rankings.

“Our priority is to translate the investments we make in coaching, player development and cricket infrastructure into measurable improvements on the field. We want to build competitive national teams, create stronger pathways for our emerging talent and ensure Malaysia continues to progress on the international stage. I am confident Binod will play an important role in driving this agenda forward.”

My immediate priority will be to work closely with the President, leadership team, Director of Cricket, coaches and players to strengthen our high-performance environment and improve the operational support provided to our national teams.

“We must be ambitious about where Malaysian cricket can go. By setting clear performance targets, strengthening our development pathways and ensuring greater alignment between our programmes and national team objectives, we can work towards improving Malaysia’s international rankings and competing more consistently against stronger cricketing nations.

“I look forward to working with everyone across Malaysian cricket to turn these ambitions into sustained progress and tangible results.”
