PSL stakeholders reflect on decade of growth and innovation

Lahore, 3 July 2025: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) management convened a high-level stakeholder meeting at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, bringing together key representatives from franchises, commercial partners, media rights holders, and title sponsor HBL.

The session was led by PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer and featured dedicated workshops between the PSL team and media rights partners, highlighting collaborative goals and digital growth ahead of the upcoming season.

Media rights partners emphasize record-breaking digital reach

Ali Imran, Senior Vice President at Walee Technologies, highlighted the success of PSL X, citing the league’s unprecedented digital reach:

“This is the first time 57.4 million fans from Pakistan streamed the PSL matches, with over 3.4 billion views across platforms like Begin, Daraz, Myco, Tamasha, and Tapmad.”

He praised the PSL management for their support and teased even more digital innovations for the next edition.

Rao Umar Hashim Khan, Group Director of Trans Group, praised the league’s consistent rise:

“PSL is growing every season. It has been an honor for Trans Group to be part of the HBL PSL for all 10 seasons. Everywhere we go, it feels amazing to represent Pakistan’s mega event.”

Ayaz Imam, Senior Vice President at A Sports, echoed the sentiment:

“HBL PSL is Pakistan’s biggest tournament, and its broadcast ratings increase with every season. We are proud to be associated with its journey.”

HBL reflects on a decade of consistent brand excellence

Ali Habib, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at HBL, spoke about the league’s brand impact over the past decade:

“At the start of every year, fans look forward to a new HBL PSL season, making it one of the biggest sporting brands. We’ve shown the world our organizational capacity to run a six-week, multi-city tournament with over 60 overseas players.”
