Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have signed Harsh Dubey as an injury replacement for Smaran Ravichandran for the remainder of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Dubey, an all-rounder who represents Vidarbha in domestic cricket, brings a balanced skill set to the SRH squad. Across 16 T20s, 20 List A matches, and 18 First-Class games, he has taken 127 wickets and scored 941 runs, showcasing his versatility with both bat and ball.
He will join Sunrisers Hyderabad for a contract value of INR 30 Lakh.
Who is Harsh Dubey?
Dubey is known for his consistency and all-round contributions in India’s domestic circuit. While not yet a household name, his numbers reflect promise — especially in limited-overs formats.
SRH’s squad dynamics for IPL 2025
The signing comes as SRH looks to maintain depth and flexibility in its lineup, especially with the injury of Smaran Ravichandran affecting their bench strength. Dubey offers both spin options and lower-order stability, traits valuable in high-pressure T20 scenarios.
What it means for Sunrisers Hyderabad
This mid-season change could be crucial as the league enters its decisive phase. SRH will be hoping that Dubey can step up in Ravichandran’s absence and deliver match-winning performances if called upon.
