Mississauga, ON – August 25, 2025: The World T10® Women’s Series is back for an electrifying second season, scheduled from August 30 to September 1, 2025, at Danville Park, Mississauga. With its high-energy format and community-driven approach, the event is poised to deliver top-tier women’s cricket action while promoting skill development and female empowerment in sport.
Curated and founded by Atul Ahuja, former Chief Executive of Cricket Canada, and presented by Lead Sponsor SHOFUN, the series offers a unique blend of fast-paced matches and athlete development programs, helping carve out a larger platform for women’s cricket in North America.
High Performance Fielding Camp launches the series
The event will open on August 30 with a High Performance Fielding Camp, designed to enhance agility, technique, and fitness among female players. The camp is open to all, free of charge, and runs from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Conceptualized by Devesh Shankar and led by former Canadian cricketer and OCA Head Coach Derek Perera, the camp also features baseball coaches from the Brampton Minor League, including Mohd. Shaikh, President of the Toronto District Cricket Association. This cross-disciplinary approach reinforces the Series’ commitment to athletic excellence through collaboration and innovation.
Two days of thrilling T-10 action
Competitive play begins on Sunday, August 31, with four T-10 matches scheduled between 9 AM and 5 PM. On Monday, September 1, two more T-10 matches will be followed by the World T10® Final at 1 PM, and the Awards Ceremony at 3 PM.
Fans can expect high-intensity matchups, spectacular performances, and a celebratory atmosphere that elevates the visibility of women’s cricket in Canada and beyond.
Empowering women through sport and opportunity
Speaking ahead of the event, curator Atul Ahuja emphasized the broader mission of the series:
