The International Cricket Council (‘ICC’) is the global governing body for the sport, which administers all aspects of international cricket.

We are currently looking for Partnerships Officer, in our Sponsorships, Partnerships & Licensing team, based at our headquarters in Dubai, UAE. The role will report to the ICC’s Senior Manager – Partnerships & Licensing. The role will play an integral role in managing and servicing ICC’s commercial partners. The role will contribute to developing an industry-leading commercial partnerships programme at the ICC.

Principal Accountabilities

Responsibilities of the Partnerships officer can be mapped across the following three fundamental pillars, as listed below:

Partnerships

Manage key partnerships, covering all aspects of account management and contract delivery, including project management, financial tracking, work-in-progress reporting, evaluation, and planning, this includes but is not limited to:

  • Onboarding and servicing of assigned partners, operating as the lead day-to-day contact ensuring their rights are delivered across ICC’s activities and events
  • Working closely with the Partners to enable successful activation of the partnership through varied activities (engagement initiatives, brand visibility, media reach and sustainability projects), defining a clear set of partner performance objectives/KPIs
  • Working with the wider ICC team to ensure the effective implementation of partner brands and assets across ICC’s touchpoints and events, ensuring partner rights are protected, with assets used in the right way internally and externally
  • Working closely with partners and the wider ICC team to identify and deliver activation opportunities tailored to partner objectives
  • Developing a strong, productive, professional, and trusted advisor relationship with the respective commercial partner representatives ; and
  • Working with the wider ICC team to identify upgrade opportunities, to ensure the longevity of existing through the selling of additional rights and opportunities

Operations

Supporting the roll-out of the global ICC Partnerships Programme by :

  • Coordinating the delivery of annual partner servicing focused activities (workshops, functions, reports etc);
  • Leading the on-ground planning of contractual rights and benefits at assigned ICC Events, which includes but is not limited to:

a) delivery of the partnership signage and activations operations

b) liaising with venues, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of commercial partner rights across events; and

c) leading relationship with relevant team(s) to manage the ordering, distribution and invoicing of partner ticket and hospitality allocations

  • Contributing to driving the overall commercial strategy by assisting in the delivery of new projects and events.

Communications

Delivering of ad hoc projects:

  • Coordinating monthly business highlights emails for partner circulation
  • Coordinating daily email updates/highlights during ICC Events for partner circulation; and
  • Developing a database and maintaining regular updates of partner fact-files

Knowledge, Skills, Attitude and Experience

  • Post graduate qualification (masters or equivalent) not essential but desired
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in sponsorship, brand experience or a related agency role
  • Exceptional project management skills including the ability to handle multiple partners and a range of priorities
  • Sound commercial knowledge, preferably within cricket
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
  • Experience in executing brand activations across digital and social media platforms
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Appreciation of working with different cultures – understands the importance of teamwork
  • Relationship building and contract management
  • A passion for sport and brands
  • Flexible to adapt to changing priorities and respond to tight deadlines
  • Strong, professional verbal and written communications skills; and
  • Deep understanding of sponsorship measurement and valuations

Conditions of Employment

  • The role is based in our headquarters in Dubai, UAE.
  • The selected candidate will be required to provide two recent work references; and
  • The compensation offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
