The Melbourne Renegades are back in action this December as tickets go on sale to the public today for the upcoming KFC BBL season.

In addition to their home at Marvel Stadium, the Renegades will return to Geelong this season for the first time since BBL|09.

The Renegades will host the first BBL match in Melbourne this summer when they face off against the Adelaide Strikers on December 7 while fans will be able to celebrate Christmas early when the ‘Gades play the Perth Scorchers at Marvel Stadium on December 22.

In a further boost, fans in Geelong and holiday-makers on the Bellarine Peninsula can also be part of the action with two matches scheduled at GMHBA Stadium in January during peak holiday season.

Join Aaron Finch, Shaun Marsh, Kane Richardson, Nic Maddinson and internationals Mohammad Nabi, England T20 World Cup bowler Reece Topley and the first Indian player to compete in the BBL Unmukt Chand, as the Renegades bring their own unique brand of entertainment as the T20 cricket action heats up on the field.

Tickets to Renegades matches begin at just $5.00 while membership packages begin at $20.00.

The KFC BBL remains one of the most affordable family entertainment options during the summer holiday period, with every ticket securing a night of fun, action-packed entertainment and of course, fast-paced cricket.

Tickets going on sale today has been made possible due to the high levels of vaccine coverage in Victoria and subsequent easing of state border restrictions.

Melbourne Renegades General Manager James Rosengarten said the scene was set for a fantastic summer at Marvel Stadium and GMHBA Stadium.

“The BBL is only a month away now so the countdown is absolutely on. We’re really excited to be back playing in Melbourne and Geelong, back playing before Christmas and really kicking off those pre-Christmas celebrations across the city. We are so excited to be back playing in front of those incredible Victorian live crowds and passionate fans” Rosengarten said.

“Given the challenges we experienced last season, we’re really looking forward to getting back to GMHBA Stadium on two summer nights in January. The club has such great support in Geelong and the wider Bellarine Peninsula and we’re looking forward to a fantastic summer holiday period.”
