Australia’s domestic summer of cricket begins this week with the Marsh One-Day Cup and Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) both commencing on Friday, September 23.

The WNCL will expand to a 43-game fixture for the first time, while the Marsh Sheffield Shield and Marsh One-Day Cup will revert to full 31 and 22-game schedules respectively in 2022-23.

Six Marsh One-Day Cup matches will be broadcast on Foxtel across the first nine days of the season, while a strong contingent of Australian contracted players are available for WNCL before the competition breaks for Weber WBBL|08.

Please see below media information below for all three competitions.

VNR and highlights

Post-play interviews with one player from each team will be made available after most days of Marsh Sheffield Shield, Marsh One-Day Cup and WNCL matches and will be captured on the live-stream broadcast for all non-Foxtel matches.

Match highlights of the following will be made available:

  • Marsh Sheffield Shield: stumps highlights after each day’s play for each match
  • WNCL: match highlights for each match
  • Marsh One-Day Cup: match highlights for matches not broadcast on Foxtel

A maximum of 90 seconds of match footage may be used in TV news reports.

All VNRs and highlights will be accessible at this Dropbox folder (please bookmark).

Accreditation and access

Please advise the relevant home team media manager (contacts below) if you are attending a match. Approved accreditation passes will be available for collection at the first match attended.

Home team media managers will advise of entry points, locations for media centre, photographers’ workspace (where applicable) and availability of photographer vests.
