The Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers, Melbourne Renegades, Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat remain in the running for the KFC BBL|12 Championship Trophy after qualifying for this season’s Finals series. 

Following the completion of the regular season tonight, the schedule for Week One of the KFC BBL|12 Finals series has been confirmed:

Friday, January 27: ‘The Eliminator’ – Sydney Thunder v Brisbane Heat, Sydney Showground Stadium, 7:15pm AEDT.

Saturday, January 28: ‘The Qualifier’ – Perth Scorchers v Sydney Sixers, Optus Stadium, 4:15pm AWST/7:15pm AEDT.

Sunday, January 29: ‘The Knockout’ – Melbourne Renegades v winner of The Eliminator, Marvel Stadium, 7:15pm AEDT.

Tickets to The Eliminator and The Knockout will be available tomorrow via a members’ pre-sale at 10:00am AEDT and to the general public at 1:00pm AEDT via cricket.com.au/big-bash

Tickets to The Qualifier are on sale now at the above link. 

All Finals matches will be broadcast live on Seven, Foxtel, Kayo and SEN. 

Week Two

Matches in week two of the Finals series will be held at the home venues of the teams that have earned the right to host by finishing first and second on the ladder.

These teams are Perth Scorchers (Optus Stadium) and Sydney Sixers (Sydney Cricket Ground). 

Thursday, February 2: ‘The Challenger’ – Loser of The Qualifier v winner of The Knockout, venue and time TBC.

Saturday, February 4: ‘The Final’ – Winner of The Qualifier v winner of The Challenger, venue TBC, 7:30pm AEDT.

Tickets for The Challenger and The Final will be available on Sunday 29 January via a members’ pre-sale at 10.00am local time and to the general public at 1:00pm local time via cricket.com.au/big-bash

A reserve day is also available for The Final only, on Sunday, February 5 with a 7:15pm AEDT start time.

“The KFC BBL|12 season has been one for the ages, with high stakes, high drama and a record number of close games. 

“As we move to The Finals series, we extend our congratulations to the Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers, Melbourne Renegades, Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat on qualifying. Each club has produced brilliant individual and team moments that have delighted fans and exemplified the world-class standard of the BBL. 

“Similarly, we recognise the players and staff of the Hobart Hurricanes, Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Stars who have delivered some thrilling games and memorable match experiences this season.  

“Our thanks go to everyone involved in making KFC BBL|12 such a great season so far – including our Clubs and their players and partners; broadcast partners Seven, Foxtel, Kayo and SEN; League partners KFC, Toyota and BKT; plus our match officials, venues and governments.  

“We wish all teams playing over the next two weeks the best of luck. In a season that has had it all, we cannot wait to see what The Finals series will hold.” 

The KFC Big Bash League schedule is subject to change.
