Cricket Scotland: Nayma Sheikh and Emma Walsingham added to Scotland Women squad

Must Read

Nayma Sheikh and Emma Walsingham have both received their first call-ups to the Scotland Women National Team for the upcoming T20I Tri-Series against the Netherlands and Thailand in Utrecht.

They will replace Katherine Fraser and Olivia Bell, who have both been ruled out of the tour through injury.

Fraser has been diagnosed with a stress fracture in her lower back, and has been ruled out for a minimum of eight weeks.

Bell has not yet recovered sufficiently from a stress fracture in her shin, and has been advised by the Thunder’s medical staff not to travel.

We’d like to wish them both well in their recovery, and hope to see them back out on the pitch soon.

The Scotland players and management arrived in the Netherlands earlier today, ahead of their opening game tomorrow afternoon against Thailand at Kampong CC.
