Cricket South Africa (CSA) and cricket lovers across the country are gearing up for an exhilarating cricket season as the 2023/24 domestic season is set to begin this weekend.

The CSA One Day Cup will kick off on Saturday, 16 September 2023, featuring teams from both divisions.

The first round of the competition in Division 1 will see Hollywoodbets Dolphins host the Gbets Rocks in Durban whilst the North West Dragons host Western Province at the JB Marks Oval.

For Division 2, defending champions, Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers, will host the newly relegated ITEC Knights. Eastern Storm will face Eastern Cape Iinyathi at Buffalo Park and Limpopo Impalas will take on the Northern Cape Heat in Kimberly.

The 2023/24 promises to be an unforgettable season for cricket enthusiasts everywhere, with an exciting campaign and international live streaming where fans can tune in to catch their favorite teams in action, eliminating geographical boundaries and allowing fans to be part of the domestic cricketing spectacle.

This season also welcomes a newly promoted team, AET Tuskers, who have earned their place in Division 1 through their remarkable performance in the lower division. AET Tuskers’ journey to the top division promises to be an inspiring story for cricket enthusiasts..

CSA Chief Executive Officer, Pholetsi Moseki, shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming season:

“The 2023/24 domestic cricket season promises to be a celebration of the sport, its global community, and the unmatched passion of cricket fans.

“In an effort to make the excitement of domestic cricket accessible to fans worldwide, cricket lovers can follow the competition live on SuperSport whilst non-televised matches can be streamed live on Pitchvision and Fan Code.

“The season’s campaign, “Woza Nawe”, calls for fans to join in the excitement, no matter where they are. The campaign aims to foster CSA’s objectives of inclusivity, unity, and a sense of belonging among cricket fans worldwide.

“It encourages everyone, from avid supporters to those new to the sport, to come together and celebrate the spirit of cricket,” Moseki concluded.

This season will offer fans an enriched experience, including interactive social media engagements, behind-the-scenes content, and exclusive interviews with players and coaches. Fans will have the opportunity to be part of the action like never before and can join the conversation on social media using the hashtag #WozaNawe.
