Shan Masood also praised Multan Sultan’s captain Mohammad Rizwan, saying “He [Rizwan] is a major player for Multan Sultans as well as Pakistan. I have always learnt from him while playing together and I am sure will learn more as opposition too.”

Speaking about Karachi Kings’ squad for this season, Masood asserted that this squad is a perfect blend of experienced and young players.

“We have experienced local as well as foreign players, like Shoaib Malik, Hasan Ali and Keiron Pollard. Meanwhile, we also have a core group of young players, which makes a good balanced side,” the Kings’ skipper said.

He also heaped high praise on Pakistan U19 captain Saad Baig and Arafat Minhas, expressing hope that they will be the mainstay for Karachi Kings in the years to come.

“Arafat Minhas and Saad Baig are exceptional talent, hopefully they will become main players and serve Karachi Kings for many years going forward,” Masood expressed.

Masood also reflected on the team goals for this season, which is to win the trophy in front of the home crowd.

“We will try to play according to our strengths and create a new identity for Karachi Kings with our brand of cricket. Our goal is to win the playoffs and the final in front of our home fans in Karachi,” he concluded.
