Alyssa Healy farewelled at SCG as Sixers legend retires from WBBL

Sixers’ club legend Alyssa Healy was today recognised for her outstanding contribution to the Sydney Sixers at the KFC | 15 BBL Sydney Smash match at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

A beloved figure of the club, Healy was greeted with a rapturous standing ovation from fans around the ground as she completed a lap of honour aboard the SCG Groundsmen’s buggy, a fitting tribute following the announcement of her retirement from the WBBL after a remarkable career.

An inaugural Sixer since the club’s inception, Healy has been a constant presence and a cornerstone of the team’s success.

Across her WBBL career, she has played 129 matches, scoring more than 3,100 runs at an average of 25.82, including five centuries and fifteen half-centuries.

Her impact has extended well beyond the scoreboard, with her leadership, passion and competitiveness helping shape the identity of the club.

An icon of the Sydney Sixers, the WBBL competition and the sport as a whole, Healy leaves an enduring legacy that will be felt for years to come.
