Chennai Super Kings cricketer Shreyas Gopal attended the inauguration ceremony of Super Kings Academy’s second center in Madurai at the Fatima Women’s College.

The cricketer interacted with the students, answered the questions that they had for him and even bowled a few deliveries to the students in the nets.

Dr. Senthil Kumar (Chairman, Kalvi Group of Schools), Esakki M (Head Coach of Super Kings Academy, Madurai) and Dr. SR Ignatius Mary (Secretary, Fatima Women’s College) were the other guests of honour.

Excerpts from the interaction

“I am very happy to be a part of this event. My only advice to young cricketers is to work hard and enjoy the game. It is important to find a balance between studies and cricket. I also urge the parents to encourage your kids to play any sport. It is also very important that you enjoy the sport that you are playing. Thank you very much.”
