Bio

Darren Long is a UK-based cricket agent, who is the Owner of Vitae Sports, which he founded in 2018. Vitae’s client roster is comprised of over 60 international cricketers and coaches, including the likes of Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi. Azhar Ali, Fakhar Zaman and Faheem Ashraf; Sri Lanka’s Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Perera; and Rassie van der Dussen and Pieter Malan from South Africa. 

Long has two decades of experience in the cricket and football industries advising and representing many of the top names in sport. Long has serving for over a decade as a Consultant at Sports Interactive, which is the world’s leading developer of sports management simulations through its Football Manager and Eastside Hockey Manager series. 

Prior to founding Vitae, Long held a variety of roles. He worked as an agent at Beswicks Sports representing numerous high-profile footballers and cricketers. He also worked as a Sports Journalist for the Northcliffe Group for five years prior to joining Beswicks. He had national board experience, serving as a Cricket Development Officer for the Australian Cricket Board. Finally, he served as as Head Coach and Overseas Player of North Canberra Gungahlin Cricket Club in Canberra.

Long earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Science from Staffordshire University in 2000.
