Victorian batter Campbell Kellaway has put pen to paper on a one year deal with the Melbourne Stars for BBL|12.

The 20-year-old has taken significant steps in his cricketing journey over the last couple of years including an impressive Under 19 World Cup with Australia where he was in the top 10 run scorers for the tournament.

Kellaway’s signature rounds out the squad of 18 players for BBL|12.

“I can’t wait to be a part of the Stars in the BBL this season and keep improving my T20 game.

“I grew up watching the Big Bash on TV and now being able to participate in it with a number of those players, is a huge thrill.”

General Manager Blair Crouch was pleased to add to the batting depth in the squad.

“I’d like to welcome Campbell to the Stars Family, and we’re looking forward to seeing his development over the next few months.

“Having now completed our signings for BBL|12, we couldn’t be more happy about where the list is at.

“We believe it’s a squad that can go very deep in this tournament and we can’t wait to see everyone at the MCG on December 16.”

Current BBL|12 squad: Trent Boult (NZ), Joe Burns, Hilton Cartwright, Joe Clarke (ENG), Brody Couch, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Sam Elliott, Liam Hatcher, Clint Hinchliffe, Campbell Kellaway, Nick Larkin, Glenn Maxwell, Cam McClure, Tom O’Connell, Marcus Stoinis, Beau Webster, Luke Wood (ENG), Adam Zampa
