Ferguson has over 70 caps in the two white-ball formats, and has featured in a single Test match for New Zealand against Australia in 2019.

Ferguson is a right-arm fast bowler, regularly hitting 150 KPH speed with the ball. He had a breakthrough 2019 ODI World Cup in England, finishing 2nd on the tournament wicket tally with 21 wickets and being awarded a spot on the ICC’s Team of the Tournament.

He previously represented KKR from 2019 to 2021 and has also featured for Rising Pune Supergiants in the IPL. He plays his First-Class Cricket for Auckland.
Ferguson is the 2nd bowler to take two wickets off his first two balls of his T20I career. He has also featured for Manchester Originals in The Hundred in 2021.

Ferguson is also the Co-Founder of Machineroad, jointly developing the sports-based application in Jan 2019. Machineroad is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven app that captures real time cricketing analytics using everyday smartphone devices, and is available for both kids and adults who love cricket and are looking to analyze and improve their core cricketing skills.

Previously, Ferguson worked at True as an Account Executive for a period of 9 months from March 2013 to Nov 2013.
