Alistair Dobson, Cricket Australia’s General Manager Big Bash Leagues, said:
“We congratulate the Perth Scorchers on earning the right to host The Qualifier Final following a very strong season and look forward to watching another tough contest between them and the Sydney Sixers.

“We know how passionate Scorchers fans are, as evidenced by the 185, 431 fans that have attended BBL|12 games at Optus Stadium. We look forward to welcoming even more to their two home Finals over the coming fortnight.”

Perth Scorchers batter Stephen Eskinazi said:

“To be able to play in front of thousands of people at a packed Optus Stadium is going to be incredible, and something our playing group is really excited for and looking forward to.

“We love our fans, they are so passionate and give us so much energy, so to go out there on the weekend and play a final at Optus Stadium in front of them is going to be an amazing feeling.

“It is an intimidating place to come and play cricket, we know that our home fans give us a huge competitive advantage, so I encourage everyone to come to Optus Stadium on the weekend and support us on another big occasion.”
