Men’s First Grade will play the opening two rounds of T20 action across the two days at Park 25, while Women’s First Grade will complete two rounds of competition on the Sunday with each team playing twice.

This summer marks the inaugural season with the two-division structure in Men’s First Grade, an innovation that will see promotion and relegation decided at season’s end.

A SACA Under 19’s team, coached by Luke Butterworth, will also take to the field in Division Two this year, a first in Premier Cricket designed to regularly expose players to the pressures of First Grade cricket on a more consistent basis.

Women’s One-Day cricket, which kicks off on Sunday October 29, has seen an increase in games this summer, with a total of 15 rounds to be played before finals.

50-over cricket begins for Men’s First Grade on October 14, with the Zadow Cup up for grabs in round one ahead of a bumper second round highlighted by three clashes that will result in presentations of the Ramage/Faull Trophy, John Nash Cup and Max Martin/Shane Paul Suicide Prevention Cup.

First Grade Division One and Two battles commence on the final weekend of October with all teams playing across the Saturday and Sunday.

Joel Cross, Premier Cricket Manager, is excited to have the dates for play set and is eagerly anticipating another hard-fought summer of cricket.

“Every Premier Cricket season is an extremely competitive and exciting journey, and with several changes to the structure of the competitions this summer, there are sure to be even more thrilling storylines throughout.

“Thank you to all the Premier Cricket Clubs for their open discussions throughout this process, we are delighted to have everything now in place ahead of another huge season of Premier Cricket.”
