The KFC Big Bash League fixture for the upcoming season has been released, with the Melbourne Renegades rewarded for their strong finals finish last season.

The Renegades will begin their campaign against the Sydney Sixers at the SCG on Friday, December 8 before the first home game of the season taking place in Geelong against the Perth Scorchers on Sunday December 10.

Following a break to allow for the Men’s Test Match against Pakistan, the Renegades will host four home matches at Marvel Stadium, with a celebration to start the summer holidays against the Brisbane Heat on Thursday December 21.

“We’re excited about the upcoming Big Bash season and what it delivers for our Renegades members and fans,” Melbourne Renegades General Manager, James Rosengarten said.

“Our fixture has blockbusters throughout, including our first game at Marvel Stadium to kick-off the school holidays against the Heat and our home Derby against the Melbourne Stars on Saturday January 13.

“The work we do in the Geelong region is a key focus for the club, so we’re excited to host our opening home match at GMHBA Stadium on December 10.

“We’ve got some great initiatives to bring our fans and players closer together this year and cannot wait for the season to begin.”

The Renegades are set to face the Hobart Hurricanes, Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Stars twice for BBL|13, with the club hosting the Adelaide Strikers at Marvel Stadium on Friday December 29 and the Hobart Hurricanes on Thursday January 4, before the highly anticipated home Derby against the Stars on Saturday January 13.

The Renegades final match of the season will see the team head to Sydney Showgrounds to face the Thunder on Wednesday January 17.

Renegades memberships will go on sale on Tuesday, July 11. To view the full fixture, click here.
